No, it’s not just for the kids. There is a place for everyone in Disneyland, call it ” everybody has an inner child” or simply we all want to have fun!!! My dream to conquer Disneyland came true in the day full of smiles, ice cream, explorations and endless fun.
The first day in the Caribbean paradise,a day in Virgin Islands that left so many emotions that I absolutely cannot find right words to describe it.My photos will though 🙂 I couldn’t but take a ”jumping” picture at the beach ( who doesn’t have one?!)
The first snow today in Kansas City could not but create a perfect mood for staying at home and watching movies with a cup of hot tea. This time of year I have a special craving for Christmas movies so here is my list of top 5 must watch modern Christmas comedies. What can be better to create a special Christmas atmosphere?
Surviving Christmas (2004)
Ben Affleck is renting a family for Christmas but everything turns out not as he has planned:what can bring more positive and laughter?! Great family comedy!
Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn are playing the couple that never celebrates Christmas because they are just too cool for that, and, as the main quote of the movie goes:”There are no famiLIES without LIES”. One day they happen to celebrate 4 Christmases at once, and it makes them understand what they were missing in their “perfect” at first sight relationship. Super funny!
The Holiday ( 2006)
The movie makes you go on a trip from cold Christmas England to sunny Los Angeles, following the characters and their love stories.Jude Law is better than ever, and if none of his movies made you fall in love with him yet, check this one out!
Home Alone I (1990)
This is one of my most favorite movies of all times, something that I can watch over and over again, year after year without getting bored. Loved absolutely all the characters and the ”Christmas is all around us, come on and let it snow” song is following me for a couple of days each time I watch it! Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, Rowan Atkinson, Collin Firth, Claudia Schiffer, Billy Bob Thorton and many others make the unforgettable Christmas cocktail for any taste!
Another wonderful Sunday, this time spent at the Union Station. The goal was to take the famous Southern’s Holiday Express train, but the line was at least 3 hours so I had to miss on that one and let the kids and their patient parents have all the fun..patience has never been my strongest point
The last time I had a real, live Christmas tree I was probably 8 or 9 years old. This year I wanted to have only the “real” tree, not only because you immideatelly can see the difference between the ”live” one and artificial, but
Today I got a chance to be a part of Dia de los muertos celebration in Nelson-Atkins museum. This colourful holiday comes from Mexico where it focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. Today in the museum we honored the memory of Carlos Fuentes,a Mexican novelist.
